Ed Walker for State Senate | District 29

June 15, 2010 | Edward Walker Wins Republican Primary

On Tuesday, June 8th the voters of Senate District 29 turned out to cast their votes in the Republican Primary.  After a long night of watching the votes come in, Edward Walker was able to collect 90 more votes than his Republican rival Penny Morgan.

“Congratulations Ed, ” posted Morgan on Walker’s Facebook page. “I know you will serve the people of MT well.”  Walker responded by thanking Penny for her past service to the people of Montana the previous 8 years as the Representative for HD57.

Now Mr. Walker will now face off against Democrat Fredrick Schweitzer. Schweitzer, a liberal political activist is best known for his outspoken advocacy for marijuana growers in Montana.  Schweitzer is the 25 year old nephew of current Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer.
